Robert Owens

Co-founder and President of Owens, Renz & Lee Co., Inc., Mr. Robert Owens is the Principal-in-Charge of the Property Management, Facility Management & Custodial Services divisions of O,R&L. He also actively serves as the Vice President of O,R&L Construction, Inc. Mr. Owens has over 22 years of experience in the Real Estate Management and Construction Industries. Under his leadership O,R&L has retained management service contracts for over 10 million square feet of facilities which equates to over one billion dollars worth of assets under management. O,R&L's success is attributed to Mr. Owens' commitment to providing the highest quality real estate management and maintenance services in the business.

Mr. Owens has assembled within O,R&L's senior management a team of industry experts that represent each specialty within the facility management and maintenance industry. The senior management team evaluates facility operations into specific operating categories to better understand how operational improvements and efficiencies can be obtained. Areas of concentration are financial performance, architectural and mechanical design review, energy management, physical & mechanical plant performance, preventative maintenance, building cleaning strategies, maintenance staffing, labor management, building security, risk management and facility specific operations & maintenance plans. Mr. Owens recognizes that in today's competitive business environment a client's facility must be well maintained but also operate at maximum efficiency.

Mr. Owens encourages the utilization of cutting edge technology including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and robotic cleaning equipment to provide efficiencies which have resulted in substantial savings for our clients. His constant attention to detail and implementation of industry best practices has enabled our clients to attain their financial goals and benefit from improved asset management.

In keeping with his philosophy of finding efficiencies and increasing cost savings, Mr. Owens is a Business Partner and Presenter with the United States Department of Energy for their Rebuild America and EnergySmart Schools programs. Mr. Owens has presented at U.S. Department of Energy seminars across the country, including forums on facility energy management plans and the values of commissioning new building physical and mechanical plants.

Mr. Owens is also dedicated to providing enrichment to the communities in which the company does business. He has instituted scholarship programs for local students given in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement in the communities and schools in which O,R&L conducts business.

Mr. Owens graduated from the University of Vermont and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.
