Building Commissioning Services in Connecticut
O,R&L's goal is to provide the owner with documented confirmation that the physical building and its systems have been properly specified and installed correctly. O,R&L recommends the commissioning process begin in the design phase and continue through construction, start-up and initial operation.
Five phases of Commissioning:
- Design
- Development of project documents
- Bidding and construction
- Final acceptance
- Warranty period
Benefits of Commissioning:
- Reduced construction, energy and maintenance costs
- Improved building performance
- Fewer occupant complaints
- Increased operation and maintenance knowledge
- Improved documentation
- Improved indoor air quality
O,R&L also commissions existing buildings or Retro Commissioning, which requires a more trenchant approach. Existing buildings, as the result of a proper retro commissioning, will also operate more efficiently and effectively, and the process often eliminates the need for costly capital improvement projects.
O,R&L has successfully commissioned new buildings and retro commissioned existing buildings resulting in substantial cost savings for our clients.
